Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Vice President of Hardware / Embedded Software Product Management.
Key Responsibilities
ChargePoint is in search of a Senior Product Manager for Charging Stations who will play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions for our customers in various segments, including workplace, public, residential, and fleet charging.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in Hardware Product Management within industries such as Electric Vehicles, EV Charging, Power Electronics, or AC Grid, along with a relevant technical degree.
Your responsibilities will include:
+ Crafting Product Requirement Documents for both Hardware and Embedded Software.
+ Gaining comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and conducting technical analyses of their strengths and weaknesses.
+ Collaborating with peer development and design teams to define the technical requirements for ChargePoint's hardware and embedded software.
+ Managing the installed base and current products, including prioritizing sustaining activities, upgrades, running changes, and special SKU requests.
+ Supporting the successful launch of products in various regions, tracking performance, and making necessary adjustments to ensure success.
+ Assisting operations in planning production, safety stock, sales targets, and managing product transitions from inception to end-of-life.
+ Aiding marketing, sales, and support teams in creating and maintaining technical marketing materials, including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, and training presentations.
+ Documenting responses to customer technical inquiries that cannot be addressed by sales or support teams, and assisting with RFPs as needed.
+ Coordinating early access and beta testing for new products and features, documenting issues, and recommending improvements.
+ Conducting product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of experience in product management for hardware products in industries such as electric vehicles, EV charging, solar energy, battery storage, or related power sectors.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, industrial design, user experience, and operations, to refine product requirements.
- A collaborative spirit and a strong work ethic within a dynamic Product Management team.
- A genuine passion for ChargePoint and our mission.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is strongly preferred.
