Job Title: Part-time Store Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Store Donation Attendant to join our team at The Salvation Army Central Territory. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our donors, maintaining a clean and organized donation area, and handling transactions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive experience
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, adhering to safety and security protocols
  • Handle transactions with accuracy, including receiving and processing donations
  • Responsible for all operations and security matters while on duty
  • Track donations per center policy, ensuring accurate records
  • Courteously advise donors of unacceptable materials and provide information on pick-up services
  • Support production processes as needed, including sorting, loading, and unloading SA trucks
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or currently pursuing
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll program and ability to learn other programs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems
  • Ability to use basic math skills and lift up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and experience temperature fluctuations based on weather. May stand for extended periods. The employee is routinely exposed to outdoor weather.
