Brightspeed is seeking a highly skilled Manager Engineering and Construction to lead our Engineering and Construction team. As a Manager Engineering and Construction, you will be responsible for managing our Engineering and Construction team, which is responsible for building our network in each territory. This is a highly visible position, and you will be customer-faced.

The Manager Engineering and Construction role requires 24 X 7 X 365 availability. Key responsibilities include managing engineering & construction responsibilities for Georgia, South Carolina, and Louisiana, managing people, budgets, and customer commitments for a designated territory, and managing and supervising staff by appraising performance, training, administering salaries, and communicating department objectives.

Additional responsibilities include driving continued training on new systems, improving processes and procedures, and pushing initiatives throughout the organization. You will also help support the Brightspeed Fiber Build Teams engineering and construction process via collaboration and impediment mitigation to support productivity.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and training, 5-7 years of telecommunications engineering and construction knowledge and experience, and 2+ years of previous supervisory or leadership experience. Strong customer service and communication skills are also required, as well as strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
