IT Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Consultant to join our dynamic team at the State of South Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technology support to faculty, staff, and students, collaborating with manager and ITS Team members to securely manage, maintain, deploy, and update computing resources.

• Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
• Collaborate with the ITS Team to develop and implement technology solutions to meet the needs of the university community.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve the overall technology experience.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that users have access to accurate and timely information.

• High school diploma combined with relevant experience, including hands-on work with current hardware and software platforms.
• Strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to upholding ethical practices.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Expertise in common software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Webex, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Proficiency with both Windows and macOS computers, Android and iOS mobile platforms, and other equipment used in customer-facing and educational settings.
