Logistics and Facility Maintenance Coordinator

Archbright is proud to be partnering with our member, Benton County Fire District #1 to find their next Logistics and Facility Maintenance Coordinator.
Benton County Fire District #1 is seeking a Logistics and Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment with priorities changing frequently. They will have the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of team members. Additionally, the candidate will be knowledgeable in public works, project management, facilities maintenance and equipment, and computer skills.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide input on the status of district facilities, and equipment. Recommend repairs and/or replacement as needed. Anticipate and forecast major purchases, timing, costs and priorities.
- Participates in the preparation, implementation, and management of the logistics budget and facility maintenance contracts.
- Direct the maintenance and repair of all district-owned properties, equipment, facilities and furnishings.
- Develops bid specifications and assures appropriate bid laws and processes are followed and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with government procurement policies, local laws and District guidelines or ability and willingness to learn.
- Function as a liaison as needed to assist Firefighter Mechanic on repairs and procurement of supplies/parts.
- Coordinate the acquisition, repair, maintenance, excess or disposal of equipment, Facilities, Personal Protective Equipment and SCBA, Small Equipment, Vehicles and motorized equipment, hose and any other items deemed necessary by the district.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the district vendors.
- Performs grounds maintenance as needed.
- Inventory of all non-expendable fire district property.
- Maintain inventory of station cache and expendable supplies.
- Attends Equipment meetings and drill nights as needed.
- Inspects fire district facilities at least quarterly and performs or schedules needed maintenance.
- Responds to major incidents with Support Services or as a single resource to provide logistical support.
- Other duties as deemed critical to the success of the fire district.
Required Experience:
- Experience in repair and maintenance of facilities including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiar with inventory principles, rotation of stock and cycle counts.
- Ability to write specifications and reports to the Board of Commissioners and Staff.
- Able to work flexible hours based on workload and emergency situations.
- Capable of supporting staff with various responsibilities within the organization.
Additional Requirements:
- Must live within 30 miles of the district's location within six months of hire.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a drug test and background check.
Benton County Fire District #1 offers a benefits package that includes medical and dental benefits for the employee. Coverage is available for spouse and dependents at an additional charge. The position receives paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Retirement benefits are provided through the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), with the District and employee each contributing. Eligibility requirements apply and will be explained upon hiring.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $39.93-$43.92 per hour DOE. It is an on-site position in Kennewick, WA. Work hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
