Wapiti Medical Staffing - Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatrician with a focus on Neonatology to join our team. This role involves providing care in a Level 2 nursery setting, with responsibilities primarily centered around inpatient rounding and call duties.

Key Details:
- **Department:** Pediatrics - NICU
- **Coverage Type:** Inpatient rounding and call only
- **Patient Load:** Average of 3 newborns and possibly 3 inpatients per day, with the potential to see up to 6 patients.

Practice Environment:
- **Setting:** Inpatient care in a supportive hospital environment
- **Support Staff:** Access to hospital staff, Market Director, Manager, and Practice Manager

Qualifications:
- **Board Certification:** Required
- **Active License:** Must hold a valid North Carolina license
- **Certifications:** BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory

Operational Details:
- **Rounding:** Yes, rounding on all newborns/NICU patients
- **Call Frequency:** Up to 7 calls while on call
- **Rounding Duration:** Approximately 2-4 hours
- **Call Back Frequency:** 2-4 times during a 24-hour shift

Technology:
- **EMR System:** Paragon
