Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing a variety of housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks, requiring strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a team of 25 or more staff members.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and equitable treatment for all employees.
  • Foster a collaborative and cohesive working relationship with department personnel, management, and the public.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas to project a positive image.
  • Develop relevant policies and procedures to adhere to infection control and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate linen and uniform rental services.
  • Offer multi-disciplinary support services.
  • Engage in employee training and awareness initiatives.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping practices.
