About the Role

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Co-op student to join our Information Technology Systems department.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Support: Assist computer users with basic end-user support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve network-related problems.
  • System Development: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement computer system solutions, including building and deploying computers, network documentation, and inventory management.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document issues and fixes, create network documentation, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Computer-related field at Michigan Tech, Ferris State, or Grand Valley State.
  • Qualifications: Minimum GPA of 3.0, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, and ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with VLAN concepts, traffic capture techniques, and network protocols.
