Job Title: Intervention Teacher

At the Alabama Department of Education, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intervention Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Intervention Teacher will be responsible for creating a culture of intellectual curiosity where all students have ownership over their learning and are inspired to think, innovate, and create.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Possess current content knowledge in the area of instructional responsibility.

  • Teacher as Relationship Builder:

    • Consistently encourage and support each student to reach his/her fullest potential.
  • Teacher as Designer and Facilitator:
    • Value and collaborate with parents as partners in their children's education.
    • Embrace the teacher's role as facilitator, navigator, mentor, and encourager.
    • Encourage students' curiosity, self-discipline, and ownership of learning.
    • Solicit and incorporate the voices of students concerning their learning.

    • Design, redesign, and facilitate challenging, authentic, and meaningful work that appeals to students' motives, interests, and learning styles.

    • Perform other duties as required by school and system leadership.

Evaluation of job performance will be conducted in accordance with the State Department of Education and/or Pike Road Board of Education policy on the evaluation of certified personnel.
