Job Summary

Santa Fe College's Health Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as an Educational Aide. This role is responsible for maintaining a functional and efficient work environment by providing support and assistance to faculty, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with SF and FERPA policies at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing visitors.
  • Screen and route telephone calls concerning activities and operations, directing inquiries as appropriate.
  • Provide front-line level of resolution to questions or concerns while making appropriate referrals as necessary.
  • Distribute mail and office supplies and operate and maintain copier/printer.
  • Operate and maintain office equipment such as copy machines, laminators, and document shredders to scan documents, print documents, etc.
  • Ensure rooms are cleanly by wiping down desks in the testing room, computer lab, breakroom, and sanitizing desks/chairs.
  • Provide general administrative support to faculty and staff.
  • Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required: Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  • Detail Oriented - Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
