Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images of designated body parts under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures. This role requires skills in various areas of the hospital, including pediatrics, operating rooms, portables, fluoroscopy, emergency departments, and outpatient procedures. The successful candidate will provide patient care in a timely, professional, efficient, and safe manner, reporting to the Supervising Radiology Technologist.

Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Work in various hospital areas, including pediatrics, operating rooms, and emergency departments
  • Provide patient care in a timely, professional, efficient, and safe manner
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to radiation safety procedures and hospital policies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Registered Technologist for Radiography (RT(R)) certification
  • 1 year of clinical experience in radiology, preferred
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and call rotation
