Research Scientist Intern - GenAI Research

Meta is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist Intern to join our GenAI Research team. As a Research Scientist Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in the field of Generative AI, focusing on language and multimodal content understanding.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop novel state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms and corresponding systems, leveraging various deep learning techniques
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed algorithms
  • Conduct research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines
  • Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners to communicate research plans, progress, and results
  • Publish research results and contribute to research that can be applied to Meta product development
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing or has a Ph.D. degree in NLP, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant technical field
  • Experience with Python or other related languages
  • Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning methods
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, and publications at leading workshops or conferences
  • Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment
  • Experience in advancing AI techniques in computer vision, including core contributions to open source libraries and frameworks in computer vision
