Farah & Farah is in search of a meticulous and highly organized Prelitigation Legal Coordinator to enhance our legal team. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in prelitigation case management, encompassing client intake, document preparation, and case organization.
This position is crucial for ensuring that all prelitigation responsibilities are executed effectively, laying the groundwork for successful litigation or settlement outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including the arrangement of meetings, coordination of depositions, and management of calendars.
Prepare and file legal documents, such as demand letters, settlement agreements, and insurance claims.
Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, legal briefs, and other documents as required.
Client Interaction:
Manage client communications, including responding to inquiries, providing updates on case status, and scheduling appointments.
Assist clients in collecting necessary documentation and information pertinent to their cases.
Document Management:
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed and readily accessible.
Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of all presuit tasks.
Prepare and process prelitigation documents, including requests for medical records and accident reports.
Research and Investigation:
Conduct preliminary research and investigations related to case information, including obtaining police reports and medical records.
Assist in gathering evidence and compiling information necessary for presuit procedures.
Case Coordination:
Collaborate with insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties involved in the presuit phase.
Track and follow up on outstanding requests and pending documents to ensure timely processing.
Qualifications:
Skills:
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
Demonstrated experience in PreSuit/Pre-Litigation Personal Injury law as a Legal Assistant or similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
