Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist IV to join our team in San Jose, California. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you will be responsible for performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body portion involved
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in CT or one year of experience in a specialty with an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)
  • Basic Life Support
