POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Electrical Project Manager is accountable for the comprehensive execution of projects, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, compliance with project scope, budget, specifications, and timelines, while also addressing client requirements. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, project managers, field superintendents, and installers to successfully complete profitable projects. The focus will be on program management of electrical scopes executed by Aegis, developing and implementing electrical work packages. Close collaboration with subcontractors will be essential as dictated by project requirements. The Electrical Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to operate independently, managing budgets, scope, and schedules for all assigned projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish, maintain, and comply with a project schedule that fulfills contractual obligations.
  • Supervise multiple projects within an electrical engineering program.
  • Evaluate and refine current processes and tools within the team, aligning with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of electrical drawings and work packages.
  • Lead the development and improvement of Aegis standard documentation and procedures to boost quality and efficiency.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies for the entire team.
  • Utilize and advance Aegis standards in electrical engineering.
  • Define and monitor KPIs that reflect team success.
  • Guide, direct, and support multiple projects through the detailed design and implementation phases.
  • Provide insights for the creation of Functional Design Documents and System Performance as well as Commissioning plans.
  • Formulate electrical engineering work plans and resource requirements to ensure successful achievement of project milestones.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive system power calculations and documentation of power requirements.
  • Capable of creating and/or reviewing Electrical Engineering work packages.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and Aegis Standards.
  • Lead project teams and assist resources during the development of RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed electrical design packages, equipment procurement activities, installation drawing packages, and support installation contractors, Project Managers, and Site Managers with installation efforts.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and clients to develop and review controls layouts, ensuring design acceptance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Distribution & Material Handling (preferred).
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Willingness to travel and work on project sites as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Experience with conveyor control processes (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drives, line scanners, print and apply applications).
  • Control panel design experience is essential.
  • Ability to interpret 2D and 3D construction drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Electrical), Eplan, and other design software.
  • Capable of developing solutions for installation and mechanical challenges.
  • Ability to assess progress and identify scheduling issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of and experience in managing multiple suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Functional safety and SISTEMA.
  • Knowledge of electrical compliance standards IEC60204-1, IEC61439.
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment.

  • Frequent walking, kneeling, crouching, and balancing.
  • Regular climbing of ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Travel may be required, averaging up to 50%, with peak periods reaching up to 100% based on project needs.
