About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our School of Medicine's Ian M. Burr Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. This full-time position involves working in an outpatient setting where you will obtain histories, complete physical examinations, and provide assessments and plans for patients seen in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes clinics.

You will also be responsible for ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and procedures, coordinating with physicians according to established protocols, and initiating and/or recommending medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments. Additionally, you will participate in case management, including education, counseling, and referrals when medically indicated.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Nursing/DNP, graduation from an accredited NP Program, 1-3 years of NP experience preferred, prior experience in pediatrics required, Certified NP (FNP or PNP) with pediatric population experience, Registered Nurse, and TN APN certificate/certificate of fitness to prescribe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain histories and complete physical examinations for patients seen in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes clinics
  • Provide assessments and plans for patients
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and procedures
  • Coordinate with physicians according to established protocols
  • Initiate and/or recommend medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments
  • Participate in case management, including education, counseling, and referrals when medically indicated
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

In addition to the estimated salary, you will also receive a relocation assistance if needed.
