Job Title: Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

Job Summary:

State Farm is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team in Jericho, NY. As a member of our trial team, you will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial. You will demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures. You will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and will be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload.

Responsibilities:

* Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
* Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures
* Possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills
* Be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload

Requirements:

* Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
* Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar
* 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
* Experience working in a paperless environment
* Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
* Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation

Benefits:

* Competitive salary range: $125,625.00-$160,000.00 (starting salary will be based on background and experience)
* Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)
