Responsibilities

The selected candidate will join one of our trial teams and will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures, as well as outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a busy and time-sensitive caseload.

The position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office and virtual work arrangements. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office, and work arrangements may change over time based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Active license to practice law in New York and membership in good standing with the New York state bar
  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
  • Eligibility to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization
