Chief Mapping Specialist Opportunity at Verdantas

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Mapping Specialist to join our team as a Survey Chief. As a key member of our survey operations team, you will be responsible for performing precise surveying for land development, boundary, and topographic projects.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in one-man field operations using robotic total stations and RTK GPS. You will maintain and operate surveying instruments, collect and analyze field data, and ensure safety and accuracy in all field operations.

This role requires a strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and transfer data.

You will work independently or with a team, adapting to new industry technologies as they arise. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform precise surveying for land development, boundary, and topographic projects
  • Maintain and operate surveying instruments, including robotic total stations and GPS
  • Collect and analyze field data; understand accuracy requirements
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred
  • 4+ years of experience as a Party Chief in land surveying
  • Proficiency with robotic total stations, RTK GPS, and data collectors
