Job Summary

Martek Global Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Network Support Specialist to join our team in supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) with High Performance Computing (HPC) Moderation Program and Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support as a liaison between users and system administrators, actively troubleshooting user tickets on systems, reading and compiling software, and providing workarounds.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically, and provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software.
  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments, performing work that requires practical experience and training.
  • Manage a constant stream of questions regarding user scripts, modules, and general configuration or architecture to run jobs successfully.
  • Understand requirements in traversing user codes and manipulating environments and command flags to troubleshoot.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to HPC user questions and problem tickets, including a documented follow-up process to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Perform account administration and HPC user assistance, facilitating and monitoring customer account creation, and ensuring that new HPC users have timely system access.
  • Manage HPC user requests and capture resolutions to customer issues, providing HPC user assistance and support for Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open-source applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science field and 4 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570 Certification CompTIA Security + or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated integrity and accountability, focused on the mission of supporting our nation's warfighters, and a passion for transformative results.
  • Courageous decision maker, transparent work and communication style, and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Experience with HPC (High Performance Computing), Linux+, or equivalent certification (RHEL certs), working knowledge of compiling software, parallelization/parallel programming, and scripting or multiple programming languages.
