Overview: This position is for an Aerospace Engine Technician, serving within the Air National Guard Units. The role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness of aircraft engines and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Aerospace Engine Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning engines and associated propulsion systems, determining necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Utilize schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to analyze engine performance and malfunctions.
  • Conduct engine run operations to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform maintenance and modifications on gearboxes and auxiliary power units.
  • Execute test cell operations, analyzing engine parameters to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct evaluations on installed engines and auxiliary systems, ensuring they meet operational criteria.
  • Interpret trend data to predict and prevent potential engine failures.
  • Document maintenance activities and engine status in the Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS).
  • Provide training on engine repair and inspection techniques to team members.
  • Manage hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in readiness evaluations and inspections to maintain operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Compatible military grade and assignment prior to placement.
  • Experience in assembly and disassembly of aircraft engines and components.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Ability to perform routine mechanical repairs under supervision.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and testing aircraft engines.

Additional Information: This position requires membership in the National Guard and may involve a probationary period. Candidates must also be eligible for the appropriate security clearance.
