Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Post-Harvest Operations Manager oversees the daily activities related to post-harvest processes, ensuring compliance with the standards established by Ascend Wellness Holdings. This role provides essential support to all post-harvest personnel, including managing schedules, facilitating training, updating policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The manager is accountable for maintaining the highest quality standards in post-harvest operations, ensuring facility compliance, and upholding cleanliness in line with state regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to established standard operating procedures.
  • Implement best agricultural practices and comply with all facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold documentation standards.
  • Collect and enter departmental KPI data.
  • Train post-harvest staff on SOPs and policy updates.
  • Supervise post-harvest team members in executing departmental tasks.
  • Ensure efficient completion of tasks as outlined in SOPs.
  • Assist in all aspects of post-harvest procedures, including harvesting, drying, curing, and packaging.
  • Perform daily tasks such as monitoring inventory and maintaining environmental conditions.
  • Inspect drying and curing areas for pests or diseases and document findings.
  • Operate and maintain post-harvest equipment and systems.
  • Restock post-harvest supplies as necessary.
  • Clean and prepare all post-harvest work areas.
  • Ensure proper storage and sanitation of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct trials to assess potential improvements in crop management.
  • Perform regular audits as required.
  • Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure all post-harvest operations comply with state regulations and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all materials and equipment used in post-harvest activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to manage a complex production schedule in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze plant health and product quality issues.
  • Knowledge of processing techniques and industry technologies.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor tasks associated with commercial cultivation.
  • Exhibit accountability, proactive behavior, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws and regulations to maintain facility compliance.
  • Must obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card as required by state regulations.
  • Ability to internalize training and follow instructions accurately.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
