POSITION SUMMARY

The Post-Harvest Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily activities related to post-harvest processes, ensuring compliance with the standards established by Ascend Wellness Holdings. This role involves providing direct guidance to all post-harvest personnel, including the management of schedules, training initiatives, updates on policies and procedures, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The manager is accountable for maintaining the highest standards of quality in post-harvest operations, ensuring facility compliance, and upholding cleanliness in line with state regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to and enforce standard operating procedures.
  • Implement best agricultural practices and comply with all facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow proper documentation protocols.
  • Collect and enter departmental KPI data.
  • Train post-harvest staff on SOPs and policy updates.
  • Supervise post-harvest team members in all relevant tasks.
  • Ensure efficiency in task completion as outlined in SOPs.
  • Assist in all post-harvest activities, including harvesting, drying, curing, and packaging.
  • Conduct daily tasks such as monitoring inventory and maintaining environmental conditions.
  • Inspect drying and curing areas for pests or diseases and document findings.
  • Operate and maintain post-harvest equipment and systems.
  • Manage inventory of post-harvest supplies.
  • Sanitize and prepare all post-harvest work areas.
  • Ensure proper storage and cleanliness of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct trials to assess potential improvements in crop quality.
  • Perform regular audits as necessary.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.
  • Ensure all operations comply with state regulations and industry licensing requirements.
  • Maintain strict inventory records of all materials and equipment used in post-harvest processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Able to manage a complex production schedule in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze potential issues related to plant health or product quality.
  • Familiarity with current processing techniques and industry technologies.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor tasks essential for managing a commercial operation.
  • Exhibit accountability, proactive behavior, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to maintain facility compliance.
  • Ability to internalize training and follow detailed instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
