Job Summary

The Child Mind Institute is a leading national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. We're seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist, ADHD to join our multidisciplinary team in San Mateo. This exempt, full-time position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, plus benefits.

About the Role
We provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatment to children and adolescents with behavioral problems, particularly patients with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), other disruptive behavior disorders (DBDs) as well as comorbid anxiety and mood disorders. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will conduct family-based interventions with parents and other family members, maintain collateral contacts with educators and other providers, collaborate with board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy, provide clinical supervision to psychology trainees, and conduct public workshops on children's mental health topics for community outreach.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatment to children and adolescents with behavioral problems.
  • Conduct family-based interventions with parents and other family members.

  • Collaborate with board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy.

Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology.
  • Completion of APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship.
  • Completion of post-doctoral fellowship.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology in California or in the process of obtaining that license.
  • Minimum 2 years licensed experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or behavioral parent training interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
