Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and testing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and testing, in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of all nuclear medicine equipment within the department.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for use in patient studies, calculate patient dosage, and review physician orders.
  • Perform visual preventive safety inspections on all equipment, identify problems, and communicate to immediate supervisor.
  • Start IV's, when necessary, as authorized by physician or supervisor.
  • Maintain necessary inventory of supplies for assigned room, rotating stock in an orderly fashion, and eliminating outdated items.
  • Assist in the movement of patients, as necessary, and recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current ARRT or NMTCB registration and state license required.
  • One year Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (Clinical rotation during nuclear training is acceptable).
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and professionally, and maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
