The Lowell School District 71 seeks an exceptional Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality educational services to students with speech and language needs.

As a key member of our team, you will assist a certified Speech Language Pathologist in providing tailored support to students under their direction. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring students receive the necessary assistance to overcome their communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for someone who can conduct speech and language screenings using specified protocols.
  • You will provide direct treatment assistance by following written treatment plans.
  • Accurate documentation of patient progress and reporting to the SLP is crucial.
  • You will assist with recording informal documentation and collecting data.
  • We require assistance with preparing materials and clerical duties.
  • Scheduling activities and preparing charts and records is also part of this role.
  • Maintaining equipment and performing checks is essential.
  • Providing instructional support to students as directed is also required.
  • Organizing and managing student data and records is another vital aspect.
  • You will identify and describe clinically relevant student behaviors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited speech language pathology assistant program is required.
  • Oregon Board of Examiners Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Assistant or Provisional Assistant is also mandatory.
