About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Lead to join our team at Voya Financial. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient databases and cloud databases to support business requirements and achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, test, and implement physical database design to support various business applications.
  • Ensure data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical databases are met.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide strategic leadership related to specific databases.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in IT's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs.
  • Organize and schedule work with internal staff and consultants.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Six years of professional IT experience.
  • Expert knowledge of logical and physical database design.
  • Strong communication, consultation, analytical, and leadership skills.
