Authorization Specialist Job Description

$4000 SIGN ON BONUS - Authorization Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Authorization Specialist to join our team at HealthLink, Inc. in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating office services and related activities in a rehabilitation clinic with 1 to 12 Providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate office services and related activities
  • Follow set programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment
  • Monitor clinic numbers and generate daily and weekly productivity reports
  • Responsible for work processes of the department as well as daily operations
  • Complete established competencies for the position within designated introductory period

Requirements:

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate degree from an accredited school or college. Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and/or a Certified Medical Assistant
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of medical office experience or have completed an externship with Healthlink in lieu of 2 years of medical experience
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years medical office experience
  • PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Medical Assistant
  • REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS: BLS-obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
