Job Summary

Merrimack College seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Admission for Visitor Services to join our team. This key role will be responsible for ensuring the best possible visit experience for all Admission visitors, contributing to the success of the Division of Enrollment Management in reaching its enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide exemplary leadership in the supervision of the Welcome Center staff, responsible for delivering exceptional visit experiences for prospective students, families, and campus visitors.
  • Operational Management: Manage and oversee all daily operations of the Welcome Center, including budget management, inventory, facilities, visit reports, and data analysis.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management and Visitor Services to develop visit and event strategies, programming initiatives, and statistical reporting.
  • Student Ambassador Program: Oversee the student ambassador program to ensure successful execution of ambassador responsibilities, promoting positive campus representation and community engagement.
  • Customer Service: Uphold a high standard of customer service, analytical and technical skills, and a mindset to explore effective and efficient ways to operate a successful Welcome Center.
  • Event Planning: Oversee and help plan and coordinate phone-a-thons, group visits, and daily visits, as well as other non-signature events.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Build effective professional relationships with campus partners, manage stakeholders, and drive decision-making to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in higher education, admission, or enrollment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Slate CRM.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of supervisory and leadership experience.

  • Self-Motivation: Self-starter with a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong work ethic.
  • Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to prioritize among competing tasks, pay close attention to detail, and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills.
