Job Title: Legal Secretary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Litigation Team at a reputable law firm in Lancaster, CA. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a substantial caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met on time.
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings, and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and attorneys.
  • Prepare discovery responses, draft pleadings, and file court documents, including summons, complaints, motions, and other pleadings.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil litigation.
  • Experience filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, legal document formatting, legal processes, and procedures.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent proof-reading skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
