Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Software Development Supervisor to join our team at TAJ Technologies Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of software developers or support teams, ensuring project completion and user satisfaction, and providing guidance and training to assigned team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development or support of system specifications through interaction with business users, IT project managers, program managers, and IT programming staff.
  • Design, develop, maintain, test, and debug software development code, FTP file transmission, and job scheduling tasks.
  • Assist in projecting software and hardware scores, requirements, costs, and general software project management.
  • Oversee the work of software developers, project managers, and system analysts as needed to manage the software development life cycle.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members.
  • Prepare status reports to department managers.
  • Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance to project goals and requirements.
  • Ensure projects are in conformance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the project team.
  • Remain accessible to project team members.
  • Keep up-to-date with technology changes and direction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Information Systems or Computer Science major preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Five (5) years of Senior Software Development experience and three (3) years of specialized programming relative to program needs.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Specific knowledge for IT project management.
  • Ability to assess and estimate costs associated with software and hardware expenses associated with software development.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
