Restaurant Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the hourly workforce to execute catering events
• Manage discipline and team selection
• Ensure quality of products and services meet or exceed standards

Essential Functions:

1. Supervise team members in their area of responsibility
2. Consult with management to improve services
3. Follow established Parkhurst and client policies and procedures
4. Communicate using Smile Plus skills and coach team members
5. Assist in purchasing foods and supplies
6. Maintain presence in service areas to assess customer satisfaction
7. Ensure practices and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
8. Follow human resource policies and procedures
9. Have input into hiring, performance appraisal, and discipline of staff
10. Orient and train staff
11. Communicate to staff regularly and hold team meetings
12. Serve as a role model for team members
13. Enforce safety standards and report safety problems
14. Ensure sanitation standards are enforced
15. Maintain morale on their shift
16. May assist in planning and execution of catered events
17. May open and close the department
18. Perform hands-on tasks as required
19. Maintain a plan for self-development and professional growth

Qualifications:

• Three or more years of professional experience with one or more years in a catering supervisory role
• Strong planning and organizational abilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft software programs
• High school or GED
