The Division of General Surgery, Trauma, and Surgical Critical Care at AMN Healthcare is actively seeking exceptional candidates for two key roles: an Acute Care Surgeon and a Burn Surgeon. These positions are designed for board-eligible or certified general surgeons with a keen interest in surgical critical care. Candidates with fellowship training and board certification in Surgical Critical Care are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in acute care surgery, trauma management, and elective general surgery, with responsibilities including on-call burn surgery coverage.
- The burn surgeon will allocate clinical duties between burn care (both inpatient and outpatient) and trauma/acute care surgery.
- Participate in professional development opportunities alongside clinical and academic mentors.
- Contribute to the operations of Bridgeport Hospital, recognized as an ACS-verified Level II trauma center.
- Engage with the only burn center in Connecticut, managing approximately 200 annual admissions and a robust outpatient practice.
- Involve in scholarly activities, including research and education of trainees, supported by Yale residents and medical students.
