Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Foundation Health Services. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of our Occupational Therapists, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of treatment and collaborate with Occupational Therapists to modify plans as needed.
  • Identify and prioritize key limiting factors, and participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently, adhering to departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Exhibit adaptability in assignments, taking initiative to assist in other patient care areas and accepting responsibility for all patient care needs.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Therapy Technicians and COTA students, ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care.
Requirements
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license from the State of practice.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Relates clinical competency, experience, training, and education to perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
