About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist at Foundation Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering occupational therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician referral, state and local organizational standards, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations, determining if intervention is needed and establishing a plan of care and treatment goals.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, considering patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes according to departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Exhibit adaptability in assignments, taking initiative to assist in other patient care areas and accepting responsibility for all patient care needs.

Requirements:

  • Must have successfully completed an educational program in occupational therapy approved by the appropriate governing board.
  • Current Occupational Therapy license from the State of practice.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in hand therapy and occupational therapy.
