Unit Information

This unit provides comprehensive staffing and patient care experience, ensuring a well-rounded approach to healthcare delivery.

Qualifications
  • Telemetry experience is essential, particularly post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
  • Preferred skills include management of chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessments, central lines, and blood transfusions
Work Schedule
  • Shift Requirements: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts weekly
  • Floating Policy: Potential to float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or to PCU for tele overflow staffing
Unit Specifics
  • Patient Ratios: 6:1
  • Equipment Used: GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer
  • Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
  • Dress Code: Navy blue or gray scrubs; no T-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts
