Job Overview

SetPoint Consultants is a prominent recruitment agency focused on the Title, Mortgage, Legal, Financial, and Customer Service sectors. Our client, a developing title company in Texas, is seeking a skilled Escrow Financial Specialist.

The ideal candidate should possess 3-4 years of experience in Bookkeeping and Reconciliation within the Title/Escrow/Mortgage domain. Individuals with backgrounds in similar positions at real estate law firms are also welcome to apply.

This role is a permanent position and is not temporary.

Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 annually.

Responsibilities of the Escrow Financial Specialist: The selected candidate will be responsible for the monthly reconciliation of escrow trust accounts. The reconciliation processes will adhere to industry best practices for Title Insurance, along with the company's escrow trust accounting controls and audit protocols. The candidate will also be tasked with documenting and entering all reconciliation outcomes into the software system and will liaise with the QA team and management regarding these results. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and manage invoices for services rendered.

Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform well under pressure and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping and reconciliation experience is required. (2+ years in an escrow accounting role is preferred)
  • Exceptional mathematical abilities
  • Experience in banking operations (wiring, deposits, transfers)
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel, MS Word, and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive criminal and credit background checks
