Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at SENTA ENT and Allergy Physicians. As a key member of our medical office, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, performing diagnostic procedures, administering immunotherapy injections, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be required to educate patients on their physical condition, treatment plan, and medication delivery devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with patient care during office visits, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform skin testing, pulmonary function testing, and drawing blood for laboratory tests as instructed by physicians.
  • Administer immunotherapy injections and maintain accurate records of treatment.
  • Treat emergency and priority patients, including the use of CPR if necessary.
  • Assist physicians with patients by telephone, including instructions to sick patients and prescription refills.
  • Maintain an aseptic environment appropriate for medical office.
  • Educate patients on their physical condition, treatment plan, use of equipment and medication delivery devices, environmental controls, and any other issues that may affect patient care.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or MA.
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to travel to multiple office locations as needed.
  • Familiarity with clinic health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) to practice in the state of GA.
  • Knowledge of clinic practice standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to properly maintain records.
  • Previous employment in a medical setting.
  • Ability to communicate with adult and pediatric patients and families, as well as with co-workers.
