We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and oversee the day-to-day operations of our dynamic law firm. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all non-legal operations, including staff management, business strategy implementation, and operational efficiency.

About the Role

The COO will report directly to the firm's Managing Partner and be responsible for leading and managing our staff of 12, ensuring high performance and engagement. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a small, fast-paced environment and can balance strategy with execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Lead and manage the firms staff, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Operational Improvement: Oversee and improve operational processes, including finance, HR, IT, and office management.
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to support the firms growth and efficiency goals.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation in collaboration with leadership.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline workflows and implement tools and technologies to improve productivity.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Partnership: Partner with firm leadership to execute the strategic vision and achieve business objectives.
  • Culture: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operational tools and systems.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
