Responsibilities

Founded in 1981, St. Joseph's Foundation continues the philanthropic legacy initiated by the Sisters of Mercy. The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds that support patient care, education, and research at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality of medical services with compassion and respect.

Position Summary:

In this newly established role of Prospect Management Manager, your expertise in prospect research and database management will be crucial.

Reporting directly to the Foundation President, you will oversee the efficient management, assessment, and analysis of prospects throughout the fundraising process.

Collaborating closely with the development team, you will provide strategic insights into prospect and portfolio management to cultivate and sustain constituent relationships.

You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the philanthropy fundraising process and prospect development initiatives, including identification techniques, research methodologies, and management practices.

You will build and nurture partnerships with Development Officers to effectively manage prospect assignments, offering insights for strategy through ongoing analysis and discussions regarding portfolios and pipelines.

A proactive and inquisitive mindset, coupled with creative strategic thinking and excellent prioritization skills, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing training on prospect development functions within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Assist in the allocation of prospects through the evaluation of vendor-generated scores. Develop and maintain queries to support data integrity initiatives, analyzing and synthesizing information for effective distribution of prospect leads. Record and maintain pertinent information in the CRM database, including donor payment applications. Deliver high-quality customer service with a solutions-oriented approach. Create and maintain narrative reports, profiles, prospect alerts, charts, graphs, and other necessary documentation. Strive to enhance organizational effectiveness by integrating best practices and current trends within the industry. Assist in cross-training new staff and updating development personnel on all aspects of prospect development. Collaborate with all development staff and consultants to ensure a coordinated approach to the prospect development process. Work with development staff to evaluate prospect management policies and procedures. Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of informational resources. Partner with internal stakeholders to further the mission of the foundation. Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Education Required:

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. At least three (3) of those years in CRM prospect and research management. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.

Preferred Experience:

Supervisory experience within a philanthropic organization. Experience in philanthropy operations. Familiarity with Blackbaud, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems. Strong skills in data mining.
