We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at West Denver Veterinary Hospital & Wellness. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing top-quality care to our patients and their owners.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories and symptoms from clients, providing professional client communication and education.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members.
- Provide nursing skills, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, and proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
- Assist with surgery prep and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and other related procedures.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
