The following outlines the essential duties and responsibilities common to all teaching roles within our district.
PRIMARY DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and uphold the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the district and school.
- Assess student needs and capabilities.
- Provide suitable learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate student records.
- Evaluate student performance.
- Communicate student achievements to parents and guardians.
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs.
- Ensure a physical setting that supports educational activities.
- Adhere to district learning frameworks and established curricula.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage attendance records.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of instructional materials and equipment, maintaining necessary inventory.
- Safeguard material resources to prevent loss or misuse.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Participate in school and district training and informational sessions as appropriate.
- Supervise non-classroom activities when assigned fairly.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the principal.
SUPERVISION:
Under the direct supervision of the site administrator.
May also coordinate the efforts of volunteers and paraprofessionals under the general supervision of the principal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Compliance with legal requirements for certificated staff in the State of California.
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must possess or be eligible for Preliminary Mild/Moderate or Mild Moderate Support Needs authorization or be intern eligible.
Education Specialist-Mild/Moderate or equivalent authorization for learning handicapped and severely handicapped

Additional Information
Applicants must hold a preliminary or clear teaching credential to qualify for relocation reimbursement.
