Medical Scribe

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with patient care and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians.
• Enter patient rooms with physicians during visits to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications.
• Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in patient records.
• Comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA.
• Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with pre-health career track preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy a plus.
• Skilled in various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs.

• Typical business office environment.
• Possibility of local travel.
• Constant viewing of computer monitor, mousing, and typing.
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
• Frequent stooping, lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling 10 pounds or more.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
