The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Instructor to teach Barbering courses at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a range of courses within the Barbering discipline, including theoretical and practical aspects of barbering.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse students.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and activities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in any field and two years of full-time related professional experience, or
- Associate's degree in any field and six years of full-time related professional experience.
- Barber's License.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field.
- Teaching experience in a community college setting.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
