Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electronics Engineer - Signal Processing Specialist to join our research, design, test, and evaluation team. The successful candidate will collect, organize, store, process, and archive digital signal data.
As part of our team, the Electronics Engineer - Signal Processing Specialist will work alongside scientists and experts to develop complex signal processing algorithms using machine learning and pattern recognition.
The ideal candidate will participate in developing project plans, test and analysis plans, and write and brief research progress and results to upper management.
Responsibilities- Produce technical reports, standard operating procedures, and presentations
- Conceptualize, design, and model world-class signal processing algorithms for complex integrated HW/SW systems
- Performance evaluation of signal processing solutions
- Work effectively in a cross-functional team and with a diverse customer base
- Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms implementation in Software and FPGAs
- Familiarity with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and signal generators for capturing and analyzing RF signals
- Experience with modern communication modulations (FSK, OFDM, QAM, etc.)
- Experience with distributed software version control systems and continuous integration, such as git
- Experience with military and commercial software-defined radios (SDRs) such as Harris, Ettus, National Instruments, etc.
- Experience with RF engineering, including RF propagation, antennas, modulation schemes, and RF measurement techniques for analyzing or interpreting RF signals
- Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in GPUs
- Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions
- Strong understanding of software development tools, including integrated development environments (IDEs), version control systems, and defect reporting tools
- Proficient with signal processing software tools, including MATLAB, Python, and GNU Radio, for analyzing and visualizing signals
- Strong understanding of C/C++ software development in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proven technical leadership skills, with the ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
- Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency
- Ability to lift and carry equipment
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
