Electronics Engineer

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to provide technical support to the Navy's Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team.
Responsibilities:- Provide installation, technical expertise, and training for all telecommunications equipment and components.
- Install, configure, terminate, and test all telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Perform intricate alignment and calibration procedures to ensure FVLF/LF radio transmitter systems are operating efficiently.
- Resolve system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform maintenance and repairs based upon manufacturer specifications and recommendations.
- Responsible for engineering and/or installation activities within the telecommunications function including engineering, implementation, diagnostics, and operations/user support.
- Monitor the operation of Radio Frequency (RF) network systems and transition mediums.
- Perform complex tasks relating to telecommunication network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site, and/or remote locations.
- Gather technical requirements, conduct surveys and engage with clients, constructions crews, utility personnel, and various government departments.
- Test, troubleshoot and repair circuit boards/cards if required.
- Proficiently handle wiring and cabling installation and termination tasks.
- Serve as a technical specialist for the resolution of complex RF Transmitter network problems.
- BS degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics with 0-2 years experience
- Secret clearance required
- One (1) year of practical experience to include:
- Electrical engineering support to C4ISR systems
- Minimum one (1) year of experience, including design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings
- Understanding and/or experience desired in Allen Bradley Control Systems architecture, High Voltage RF, Corona Treatments, RF Tuning Networks
- Ability to interpret and implement electronic, electrical, mechanical, and installation schematics and drawings
- Proficiency in using miscellaneous test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
- Understanding of electrical and electronic theory
- Experience in circuit modelling, design, and repair
- Knowledge of NAVELEX 0101,110 (series) criteria and its practical applications
- Methodical engineering approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Understanding and/or experience with PLC programming
- Outstanding communication skills
- Electronics repair, maintenance and checkout
- Formal electronics training, to include:
- Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors
- Ability to navigate and resolve ambiguity effectively
- Mathematical aptitude
- Desired Skills:
- Electrical installation and systems installation knowledge
