Position Title: Safety and Security Specialist

Position Overview: This role is integral to the operational safety and security framework within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Foster and sustain positive working relationships, acting as a representative of the Licking County Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of facilities to ensure the security of premises, including monitoring access points and identifying any potential hazards.
  • Respond to emergencies and unusual situations, notifying the appropriate authorities as per established protocols.
  • Perform essential administrative tasks, including the completion of routine documentation such as incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant safety procedures.
  • Stay updated on current safety practices and may be required to participate in training sessions.

Brief Overview: This position supports the Safety Coordinator and plays a crucial role in the safety and security operations of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellent attendance and integrity.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain required safety certifications within specified timeframes.
