Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse - Perioperative Care to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs and respond to any changes or complications that may arise during surgery
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care

About You:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required
  • Basic Life Support OR CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification required
  • 1+ year experience in area of specialty or completion of formal course in area of specialty within 6 months after hire into the specialty
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
