Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of facilities, including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.
  • Collect trash, recycling, and soiled linen from units and dispose of them properly.
  • Perform heavy housekeeping duties, including dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of floors.
  • Utilize protective gear and follow safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must live in the service area.
