Warehouse Operations Specialist

Omega Morgan is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Shipping and Receiving: Greet and direct delivery drivers to the dock area, receive and inspect shipments for damage, record and tag items for inventory tracking purposes, and load and secure outgoing freight.
- Inventory Controls: Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse, assist in maintaining proper inventory controls of consumables, and conduct periodic physical inventory counts under the direction of the warehouse supervisor or superintendent.
- Building, Office, Warehouse, and Grounds Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and spill clean-up as needed, resolve routine office maintenance and warehouse equipment issues, empty trash into dumpsters, and ensure parking lot cleanliness.
- Additional Responsibilities: Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), request same from employees, delivery drivers, and customers, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, superintendents, foremen, managers, and office personnel.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Qualifications: Basic mechanical skills, valid driver's license, forklift operator certification preferred, 1-2 years previous warehouse experience, good verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills, and basic computer skills.
- Language and Physical Abilities: Ability to read, write, verbalize, and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English, and physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, acuity-far, acuity-near, depth perception, and field of vision.
The employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The employee will occasionally be exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, work with explosives, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
